Caribbean Basketball Networks Coming Attractions Klay Thompson
When you’re one of the winners of one of the best genetic lotteries in the world, it might seem that it would only be elementary for you to ascend to the top of your respective sport. However, for Klay Thompson it wasn’t that quick or that easy. As recent as last year, the slept on, under-recruited shooter from the left Coast (California) wasn’t even ranked in the top 1oo players in America. Oh what a difference a year makes; Thompson combined one summer of hard work and playing with and against some of the best from across the Nation; He then topped it all off by winning the ultra tough (CIF) State championship for California. The Washington State Commit appears to stepping into a solid situation and says he is busy in the meantime preparing to make the most of it. In between time we caught up with the shooter extraordinaire for him to put things into perspective.

Caribbean Basketball Networks Coming Attractions - Jay Phillippe
One half of one the best young backcourts in recent Bahamian Hs history, Jay Phillippe, was the fire to the Ice of Darshtyn Baker at C.c.Sweeting Hs back in 2oo5. Whilst it appeared as if nobody on any team could’ve seemed to devise a strategy to defend either guard in the C.c. Sweeting Hs. backcourt; the best strategy seemed to be to enlist their services elsewhere. Darshtyn Baker was recruited to Atlanta’s Mission Christian Prep and Jay Phillippe was recruited to Freeport’s Sunland Lutheran Hs. Phillippe made major noise as he finished up his Hs career at Sunland and has since earned a college scholarship from Virginia Intermont University. We caught up with the Bahamian speed guard extraordinaire for some of his thoughts and reflections on his first college season.

Caribbean Basketball Networks - Clemente Martin
On the real, i ts hard to picture Freeports’ Anglican High school ever being as good as they were when Clemente Martin and Co, were donning the Warrior Gold and white. With a squad that included SUNY-Maritime guard Nikero Babbs, Division One Wright State Player Parysh Munroe and Bahamian National High Jump and (probable Olympic) High Jump Champion Donald Thomas, back in 2oo3 Freeport Anglican Had “CREW”. Fast Forward four years, and Martin after completing his junior year, clutches three years worth of all-league honors, at least a solid look by scouts at the professional level and one more season of eligibility just to show off (if he wants). Caribbean Basketball Networks Coming Attractions - Ruth Ann Simms
Being over looked by almost everybody, even many at her own school, despite her consistently stellar play, Ruth Ann Simms was the quiet on court leader of a C.c. Sweeting Lady Cobras for the past few years. The Lady Cobras finished at or near the top of every Gsssa year-end poll for virtually the entire duration of her high school career. Despite some personal tribulation coming down to the end of her Hs career, Simms still managed to push through it and earn a college scholarship as a result. With the first year already in the books and a sound near double-double average to her credit, Ruth Ann had a solid first season of college basketball. Caribbean Basketball Networks caught up with the Junior College All American Camp invitee to talk about her first year of big time basketball. Ladies and Gentleman the first lady of the Bahamian class of 2oo7…
